It’s a prism of infinite possibilities where a single choice can branch into infinite realities and create alternate worlds from the worlds you know. I am a gatekeeper. I am your guide through these vast new realities. Follow me and ponder the question… “What if?” When the Marvel logo appears, it transforms into an animated form to match the art style of the show. Adapted into Marvel Studios: Legends: Guardians of the Multiverse (2023). A very simple sequence of rushed things to put the pieces of the puzzle together. And my expressions were also pretty straight when I watched this episode because there was no suspense or even a logical narrative. I understand that maybe it’s an animated show aimed at kids? But only kids who know everything about the MCU up to this point would appreciate it. We’ll see how the other episodes play out, but I’m not really that excited about it after this one. Edit: Episode 2 gave a real feel for what the MCU is all about, it was creative and thoughtful with great WHAT IF moments. I really enjoyed seeing T’s back on screen. However, episode 3 was a problem and forced me to edit this review. It was so emotional and thrilling to watch that I could have watched the whole movie from this episode. It re-explored characters we know on a level that leaves you wanting more. I hope to get a 10 star edit by the end of the season. Edit II: Here’s another star from the “weird” 39; however, an inspiring episode that was by far the best of the bunch in terms of writing, score, animation and story. Special mention to Benedict Cumberbatch for nailing the boss. Kudos to Marvel for doing so. However, by episode 5, the episode was certainly entertaining, fun, and engaging with quality animation, but once again it showed too much at once, not giving viewers enough time to absorb things. Still 9/ Total Price Series 10 at least until the next two episodes. They will have to finish episode 4 to get a 10 from me.
